Some facts about our city you may not know:
-is the fourth-largest city in the state.
-has a population of 161, 791 according to The 2010 census. The population 100 years ago was around 9,000.
-forms part of the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area which is the 24th-largest metro area in U.S
-in 2005, Money magazine declared it No. 91 on its list of best places in America to live.
-has a total area of 49.86 square miles.
-is classified as dry-summer sub tropical climate.
-has an average annual precipitation of 42 inches.
-the vertical-lift Interstate Bridge opened on February 14, 1917, which was Oregon's 58th anniversary.
These are just a few facts easily Googled in to learn about our little city, the ' Couve, on the river.
One fact not so easy to discover is this.
How many people really know Jesus? The question is not how many people go to church. The question is how many know and love Jesus. How many choose God as Lord of their lives.
