40 Days of Prayer - 2015
Day 21 - October 3

The Right Job
By Mary Jo Cannard

We’d just returned home from a 2-week trip to a family wedding. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a garden so overgrown with weeds we couldn’t see the baby plants, a yard badly in need of a trim, a dusty house, and family guests. The next morning, we set to work. I sent my sister to the garden, the girls to do housework, and the guys to the yard. Mom and I set off to the grocery store. When we returned home, I went outside to check on the progress before we started cooking. In the garden, I could see plants that had emerged from amidst the weeds in the raised beds. As she stretched her back and looked around the yard, my sister commented, “You sure know how to get the work done, just give everyone the job they love.”

What job do you love? During an evangelistic effort there are many jobs to do. There’s something for everyone. Pray that the right person gets matched with the right job.

Prayerfully consider what you can do, and contact Pastor Danny to sign-up to do the job you love.

“Pray to the Lord, who owns the harvest, that he will send more workers to gather his harvest.”
Matthew 9:38 NCV

Ask God to send volunteers for the meetings and that they will placed in exactly the right places. Ask God to use you and give you to a heart to volunteer.
